I use a lot of weatherpack connectors, on everything from my Sandrail to my Christmas lights, and even on some of my test equipment and computer gear. I finally bought a decent crimp tool:
There’s not a whole lot to say that isn’t covered in the video. There’s lots of different ways to make your weatherpack connections, you can even do it with a needlenose if that’s all you have. However, this relatively cheap ratcheting crimp tool does a perfect crimp every time. It crimps both the electrical connection and the sealing ring in one step. It makes accurate, repeatable crimps. I wish I had bought one years ago.
